They’re made to fit over the top of common 5 gallon buckets although I do use mine with smaller sizes. They just don’t fit snuggly. **Q: What is the lip size on these pots?** A: From outside edge of the net pot to outside edge of the lip is .25" **Q: will the lid actually seal on the top of a standard 5 gallon bucket?** A: absolutely not. it does not fit the inexpensive Argee black buckets from Home Depot & Amazon. It will fit the Leaktite 5gal, but still not a great seal. i do NOT recommend these, at all. someone dumping inventory of improperly sized lids. I willd definitely purchase more as I usually use the one pot lids, which are still good for larger plants such as tomato Hydroponics. But this would be great for smaller plants like herbs and strawberries, which is what I am using it for or pepper plants. Both would work fine, but you're rushing the lack of a supported base with the other brand.I've purchased plenty of Viagrow branded stuff for all the different types of growing I've done.
