I'm new to sewing. Would this fit any machine with 3 prongs?** A: It does not fit. **Q: Will this cord fit a Singer 201?** A: This cord will work on a 201. So far, I have found that it works for all Singers that have this style plug when the pedal/speed controller is wired in separately or with a separate 2 prong cord. And it does! There is no center prong on my machine, so the center hole on the center lead does not connect to anything. Even so, it works! The first few times I connected it to the machine was a bit of a struggle to get the prongs to go in the holes, but by the 4th or 5th try everything seemed to be lining up just fine. I also bought a separate pedal that connects to a different socket on the machine, and that works too. The picture looked the same as the original cord, so I gave it a shot. Lo and behold, it works wonderfully. If you have the Singer Centennial 301 (serial number in the first 10000) this will work for you. It will probably work on other models with the two separate cords as well, but I don't know for certain so you will have to invesigate other models for yourself.
