It is best suited for boiling water as its small base renders it a bit unstable if someone were to try to cook on it. I paired this with a 1.5L FireMaple kettle and it is wonderful! I am long-time Coleman fuel user and still had to learn some things about this burner. It is difficult to adjust the flame with the lever but it CAN be done. When done using for the night, ensure you release the tank pressure by removing the tank cap then reinstalling it, AND fully close the red fuel lever. This will prevent the tank pressure from forcing lots of unused fuel out of the fuel line and jet while you aren't around. Durable. Powerful. Efficient. Reliable. An excellent backup.
