I have great faith in Designs for Health products in general, but this one is absolutely amazing! It literally cured my SIBO in less than a week! No side effects, felt it working the first day I took it, and it continued to work until I healed. I still take it a few times a week to keep things in check. Truly an amazing product and loads more effective than any probiotic put there. This stuff is the real deal! It costs a little more but it's so worth buying.

My husband and I are both in our late 70's. I have used probiotics in the past, and they honestly didn't seem to be of much value. I quit using them to reduce the number of supplements I am taking. Most recently, I found out about spore-based probiotics and decided to try these. Both my husband and I are healthy and not taking any medications, but neither of us has felt as energetic as we used to, possibly an "age thing".When I found out about the spore base probiotics, I was interested, and both my husband and I decided to try this brand. Although the price of $70.49 at the time of this review seems like a lot, one bottle is enough for 2 months. So, $35.25 per month is comparable to other probiotics for a one month supply. These are also available on subscription, so this lessens the price.In my research I found that spore-based probiotics have been clinically tested and are supposedly better than other probiotics because:1) Improved Gut Flora Balance: They help establish a balanced microbiome, which is crucial for gut health.2) Support for Immune Health: A healthier microbiome can enhance immune responses.3) Better Survivability: Spore probiotics survive harsh conditions, including stomach acid, making them more effective than regular probiotics.4) Multisystem Health Benefits: They can modulate inflammatory responses, support hormonal balance, and promote cardiovascular health.5) Detoxification: They may help clear toxins from the blood and improve cholesterol levels.6) They don't need to be refrigerated as many probiotics do.Of course, this is all published research and theory. My husband has been taking these probiotics almost 2 weeks, and I started taking them about 4 days ago. Both of us had an initial response of diarrhea and loose stools for a few days. In my research, I found out that this is normal as our bodies acclimate to the new bacteria. My husband has gotten past this, and I am getting better. Although I do believe that our gut health has a huge effect on our overall health, the jury is still out on the effects of this spore base probiotic. I don't expect any changes or effect to happen in the short term but hope these probiotics will be effective in the long term.UPDATE 03/03/26:I have been taking this probiotic for a little over a week, and my system has become adjusted to them. So, no more diarrhea. My husband has been taking them for almost 4 weeks at this point, and it seems to be helping with his uncontrollable gas problem. Honestly, there were times I thought he would be jet propelled through the ceiling, and he said he couldn't control it. I didn't want to go out to eat or to stores with him to avoid the embarrassment. Thankfully, his gas problem seems to have been resolved with this probiotic.UPDATE 04/24/26:At this point, I have been taking these probiotics for almost 3 months, and my husband has been taking them for 4 weeks longer. Neither of us have had any digestive issues after meals, and my husband's gas issues have been greatly reduced to almost never (Thank GOD!). I have been feeling more energetic than before these probiotics, but I really have no way of knowing whether this can be attributed solely to this supplement as I have been trying to do a better job of monitoring my sleep habits (I tend to be a night owl.) Even so, based on research and results I am seeing, I would recommend spore-based probiotics vs. those that are not spore based.I hope this review was helpful for you.
