Although my very sensitive nose detected some odor, it is nothing compared to all the memory foam pillows I looked at today shopping. I didn’t realize until now, how faint the initial odor was on this product. I hope I am the only person to have discovered unwanted deposits in the pillow.I noticed a slight foam smell when I received it, and was going to wash the cover to see if that would reduce the smell; when I discovered small holes on the back of foam. This pillow is encased in a pillow cover netting, which is then encased in the teal and white pillow cover you see in the description photos. I first noticed the holes, and then the hard crusty things under the netting. I am not going to cut open the netting to see what they are because I don't want whatever it is in my house. So, I am returning this product and will continue my search for an orthopedic pillow.I'm sorry the photo images are bad, the lighting made it difficult for me to photo them without my shadow. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid contender for molded memory foam pillows for those needing more support. Good sizing for taller/larger individuals! *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2018* Ended up picking up a couple of these and we generally like them. They're a firmer foam underneath with a softer top layer, making them supportive for larger individuals like my 6'4" partner. :) If you tuck your shoulders right up against it, the angle is decent for head lift (though slightly high, especially if you've a smaller build), and the sides are pretty good for side-sleeping. The shape does tend to encourage your body to stay in place, though, so if you're a more mobile sleeper, you might find yourself initially sore or stiff from not being able to adjust as much. I swap up with other pillows as needed (still searching for that dream pillow!), but keep coming back to this one for support.It does come with a cover, but I absolutely recommend using a proper pillow case of your own. We've had no issues with ear suction or overheating when we've used our own higher quality pillow cases. Additionally, as it states - it's memory foam. It's simply a type of polyurethane that is manufactured and shaped. It's gonna smell a bit of chemical at first.
