They are very small square than the big ones you see in the picture but if you are looking for small ones this is the ones to get but if you are looking for big squares like I am then this is one is not the one to get. Smaller than i expected but i didn't pay much attention to the dimensions when i purchased. The squares come apart very easily which is a good and bad thing. I had a hard time breaking it up into sets of 6 squares to put away because it kept wanting to crumble apart on me and all the letters kept falling out. But other than that it is well made.
