It felt a little odd to cut onion because the blade gets thick very quickly it's almost wedge shaped. I don't mind, that's why I bought this knife, But I did end up switching to a normal blade to cut some of the veggies. The handle is very comfortable. I put my index finger into the metal groove on the base of the blade in order for the knife handle to fit properly in my hand. It feels quite natural. I thoroughly enjoyed unnecessary vigorous chopping while preparing dinner tonight. Mostly I liked the way the knife looks and wanted to have it to admire, it's also satisfying to use.
