For me, Permasharp run a little sharp/aggressive and Astra SS less aggressive and more gentle - but more work to get as close a shave as the Permasharps. These, I'd say, are right in the middle of those two. And IMO, I like these better than the other two because NO glue! They're double wrapped WITHOUT the four glue spots common on blades. Definitely worth a try! See if you can get a sample pack with a tuck of these, or perhaps someone can sell just one tuck. IMO, definitely good as Astra SS, a bit better than Shark Stainless, similar to Asco Platinum. Can't comment on longevity as I only use blades twice, maybe three times (twice a week shaver per week herewith an occasional weekend shave).
