Renal cats are need of them just as much as potassium.** A: I have no idea why the powder does not contain vitamin B. But my cat really needed the potassium so the powder was my choice. I did try the gel but my cat not only did not like the taste and would not eat. But the powder disappears in with the wet food and my cat eats everything **Q: How many doses are in the container?** A: The container says you should be approximately 188 level scoops from this container. **Q: Does anyone know the difference between this product and epakitin 60 g also for cats?** A: You didn’t mention the reason for this med compared to the Renal K+. I do KNOW that Renal K+ gave me over 2 more years of quality life for my little guy. If I had a question like that I would ask my vet. There are 7 or 8 in the practice so I can get second opinions easily. Fortunately I had so much faith in my vet. This I know because of over 22 years treating very ill kitties. **Q: Is the powder version hydrolyzed?** A: Google says. Yes. It is amazing stuff. My cat had to take it for years. Just sprinkled it on her food and she ate it right up. I dont believe there is a taste to it. Antes había usado la versión en gel de Renal K+ (que huele super fuerte a maple) y aunque había que forzar su administración con una jeringa, siempre funcionó perfecto. Hasta que un día mi gata comenzó a desarrollar una aversión al gel al grado de que lo vomitaba de inmediato apenas se lo dábamos. Tratando de no privarla de su dosis periódica de potasio, que ayuda a mantener bien su salud, decidí probar esta versión en polvo, con la esperanza de que pudiera ocultarla en su alimento. La realidad es que huele súper fuerte, no precisamente agradable y si simplemente lo diluyo con su lata de comida no hay forma de que se lo coma. Lo detecta de inmediato y de plano no toca el plato. La opción a base de prueba y error ha sido mezclarlo únicamente con alimento de origen "pescadoso", y con unas gotas del suplemento de aceite de salmón que toma para mantener bien su pelo. Logrando disfrazar muy bien el olor penetrante a algas que tiene hemos logrado engañar un poco a la señorita.
