We opted to move the fish to a big bin to avoid staining things in the tank and give more water for the medication and so it was a little bit of a pain but I will say that it actually resolved the fish's issue. We have a beautiful red and blue beta fish and the tail started to have problems, started to eventually wear away and then started to tear. We thought that it may be too late to fix the fish's fins but this actually worked. By the time it went back into the tank you couldn't really see an improvement but over the next few weeks the fish returned to a vibrant color with the fins improving and it seemed more alive.
