They've all been great quality Chinese-made Bucks. I doubt they would be different at all if made in USA. For me, this is the ideal size pocket knife and is easily operated with one hand. If you're not familiar with this knife, it's thinner than a standard linerlock because it has no covers or bolsters so the liner is the outside of the knife. This design can also be seen in a Gerber STL 2.0. The thin profile makes it much more pocketable. I didn't look up the steel, but it's reasonably hard but not as hard as the old Buck fixed blades and classic lock backs. It has a good balance between durability and sharpening ease. I lost one for a year outdoors (Southern California) and when I found it it had one small and very faint rust discoloration that wiped right off. (And it wasn't on the blade.) It's a good value at this price and would provide me with many decades of use if I could only keep track of it.
