I also have several other professional knives which were purchased at three or more times the cost, but I reach for the GW more often. I purchased this and the paring knife as a gift for Christmas and just actually saw them out of the package for the first time. The handles are PLASTIC! Not the same handles as any of the other GW I've ever seen or owned. Also, there appears to be rust forming on the blades of both knives which should not happen. I am going to suggest that the recipient of these gifts return them, which is embarrassing and a big hassle.
