Like many others, I bought it to use with Kali linux. It worked right out of the box. I like using the holder that comes with it. I wished it featured additional mounting types but the clip is working for now. The included usb cable is plenty long enough for my needs. I do recommend getting the longer antenna for it. I was able to find wifi networks that I didn't think was reachable.
