If you are trying to use it for a portible cassette palyer it will not work. **Q: Does this device work with the options for play, skip, etc? Like, can I open Pandora on my plugged in phone and skip/pause songs from the dashboard?** A: Unfortunately I do not have a dashboard that can do that since its a 99 Honda Accord. It plays as a tape for me and I control it from my phone, I set it to the car mode in all of those music apps on my phone.
