Turn water on and switch nob on to spray. There are three choices that you can turn the the nob - clean, off, and rinse. If you choose clean, the water comes out in a straight line. If you choose rinse, the water comes out in a wider pattern. I chose rinse, expected it to function like a Miracle Grow fertilizer sprayer. It did, except the product went extremely fast. 32 FL OZ Mosquito Control Concentrate was depleted within a couple minutes. It did not cover much area at all. The label says it can cover 3000 sqft area. No way! It only covered 1/5 of my back yard and I did not even get a chance to use it on my front yard.
