My machine only worked for 6 weeks. I returned it and was sent a replacement, which only worked for 6 weeks. I then got a refund and bought a different machine. So even if it did make a flat white I would not recommend it. **Q: Can I use ground coffee in EQ 500** A: I believe so. The machine has a receptacle to use ground coffee but we haven't used it. Sounds like it’s old, but it’s a high value product (£500) and it’s a coffee machine not a machine that is likely to be overused or abused. You make a couple of coffees a day. Yet, unit failed completely and utterly. And the worst part? Siemens want £406 to repair. Almost as much as the purchase price? How can that be? Is that not a deliberate policy, to deter repairs and force a purchase?
