## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars

I saw and heard the online demos, but this has exceeded my expectations.

*by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2015*

I don't like to give 5 star reviews, but I got this yesterday and despite a few shortcomings I think it deserves a top rating. First, why I love it. I discovered Dubtep last year and a few months later bought a bass guitar. I am still learning to play but I got this to try and make sounds that I hear on a lot of DubStep. So this puppy is my ticket to easily getting many of those great sounds. And the price is very reasonable much like what I paid for a Behringer HD-300 distortion box. The products are cheap, but the quality "good". Pros may want to pay more for "great" equipment that should stand up better to active gigging abuse. But how can I rave about this thing when I have not even used it with my bass yet...? Well, I was in a hurry to try it out yesterday and I only had my ESP 7- string guitar in my home studio. So set it up and used the lower (pitch) strings to test the settings. Very nice. You get a settable mix of clean and synth sounds with a LOT of variety from the controls they give you. How you play also affects the sound and synth triggering.Guitar players should not be allowed to this thing. They may be tempted to steal it from your bass player!!! I played the higher strings and found that for single notes on a high string it doesn't work the same. The synth seems to be set for responding to bass notes. BUT, I discovered if I hit the two highest strings at the same time, the synth would trigger! It's a little tricky and a little inconsistent, but it opens up a lot of new possibilities for new sounds. Yeah, sometimes it makes sounds I never heard before. Many may think it's crap/noise, but if you like electronic music and DubStep you may find new joy you didn't expect. I can't wait to play my blues harp through this hummer!Ok, to prove I am not a Behringer shill here are the negatives about this product:- The battery is installed under the pedal. Carefully push in the two hinge pins and lift the pedal up. A small screwdriver works well.- If you use an AC adapter make sure you observe the POLARITY. I had to hunt for a 9v adapter that was set for NEGATIVE center. Most of the 10-12 I had were all POSITIVE center and they won't work. Even when I found one with neg center, it caused a LOT of 60 cycle hum. I think you will need one that does some filtering for it to work. I say that because it's not hard to cut the wires and reverse the polarity of an adapter. Not sure how easy it would be to reverse the connections on the device. Best to avoid that for most of us.- The stomp box has a good weight as does my HD, but the case is plastic. There is a bottom plate that gives the box it's weight.- The pedal is plastic as the case is. Try to not get excited while playing and stomp it hard. Really. Nothing good will come of it.Summery: If you have seen and heard the YouTube demos I think you will find this product delivers what you expect, but I have to warn you and the limitations of cheapness are real. Still, it has great value and you may find it does cool things you didn't expect as I have. Hmmm, I wonder if I can trigger the synth while singing? And where's my Juno-2?[Update: 11/01/2015 I have been using this off an on for a while now and have a few comments. First, when used with bass or guitar, you can play softly and not have the synth trigger. I like this, but it can be tricky to control sometimes. For guitar, it may not trigger if you only play one string. If you play two or more you can sound like you have a bass player, but they only follow what you play. The batteries are a pain and the AC adapter is recommended, but any extras you have may not work with this. And right now I am having some problems with mine cutting out for several seconds at a time and them starting again. It's like a computer that is working, then reboots and you have to wait for it to start up. Not sure why it's doing that. Oh, MAKE SURE you register yours as they advise in the instructions. Behringer should address the problems many bring up. If the did, I think they could double the price and we would still buy it.

    Very Useful Synth Pedal

*by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2011*

This is a great little pedal that has a lot of potential. You have to play with it a lot to find out how to get it to respond, as different pick-up combinations on my Godin make for very different responses from the pedal. I've only recorded a couple of times with it because I spend a lot of time trying out the various Synth voices & then trying out p/u combinations to see which works best. My single coils don't seem to work very well but in-phase humbuckers do. Not sure why yet although I suspect this will vary from guitar to guitar. I also have an on-board COMP in my Godin & the pedal doesn't seem to like it. Again, not sure why but I am pleased with the results once I find something that does work. This pedal also is good for more than just Bass Synth as some synth settings work well in upper registers as well. For the price, this is a great additional tone source & it's hard to beat as I haven't found anything in the price range like it.

Simply amazing products. Fat amazing sound.

Awesom freaking sound! The behringer effects pedals are the second best in the market on the price range ... Only second to Joyo ... But they are pretty damn close and soooo unexpensive.... Even though they are made of plastic, the build wuality is not poor.... And all bheringer pedals come with a 3 year warranty if you feel you're going to break them in a week or two... Not going to happen... Unless you slam your feet with some heavy duty boots... I have 5 bheringer pedals and even though as a DJ I was never a fan of thwir products... The effects pedals are a different story... The sound is just crazy good, I also have the electro harmonix micro bass synth and this one sounds way fatter, smoother and sinply better.... You can get some awesome crazy sounds of of this ... Not to mention the price... I paod 230 for the EH... This one blows it out of the water.... All bheringer pedals are amazing.... And with the warranty and price you absolutely can't go wrong... Buy them all if you can... They are all equally great... My least favorite is the noise reduction one... And probably because all of these pedals are so quiet... Oh and also... About the people complaining about how hard it is to change the battery... All I have to say is .... OMG! All you have to do is puch two little buttons with a pen or something similar in size... Sure, bot as convenient if it had a little battery door.... But c'mon people... It literally takes 20 seconds to switch out a battery. Do yourself a favor... Buy this pedal, and the super fuzz, and the conpressor sustainer, and the tube oversrive, and all of them!!!!
