You have to watch the installation video uploaded in the item's description.This review is for anyone that was skeptical and/or on the fence when buying something from a seller where you can't even pronounce their name 😆I was a bit skeptical of the actual item because I had seen this same item from multiple sellers. I went with this particular seller, CAOXISHIM, because they sold more than one type of dust box and I trusted Amazon to fix any issues.The item was delivered quickly, within the same week. Unbeknownst to me, the contents are split into two shipments. One was for the dust box itself, and the other was for the pre built dust collection system, which is basically a fan mounted onto PVC tubing and comes with a fabric bag to hold the dust contents. I didn't open the first box right away and was confused when a second box arrived since I was never given any notice that this item would be split into two shipments. Both boxes were shipped from Southern California. One was even from Chino, California, a city I am very familiar with that is heavy middle class residential with pockets of warehouses and some industrial.At first, the contents and quality of materials were underwhelming. You're basically making a box with an acrylic lid. But only as I started building did I develop an appreciation for the actual item. The box sides are thick foam core boards, and the mounting hardware is standard stuff you can get out of your local hardware store. But you get an appreciation for how precise the cuts are and how square everything lines up. When fully built, everything feels solid, and well put together. Long story short, I don't think this will just one day fall apart after a handful of uses.PRO TIP: If the holes or cut outs don't line up exactly, flip the piece over. A piece may look symmetrical, but it is deceivingly not.It was very easy to put together, and while you can get all the contents from a big box store, buying this preconfigured dust box saves a huge amount of time and headache. They even threw in more screws, washers, and nuts than you need which was nice.I will likely change out the dust bag with a flexible tube that blows the debris outside because I wouldn't know how to practically and properly clean out the dust.Great purchase! The heat is intense and I could have dealt with the mosquitos on the deck but in the end it is the Texas HEAT. I needed an indoor dust box with dust blower remover and this fit the bill - size and protective sleeves. ALL ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. All parts included plus some extra screws (all phillips heads), extra washers and extra bolts. AND some of us know why. We drop them screws and they are lost on the floor until your foot finds it days later. ONE observation is that when installing the fan - the bolts / washers and nuts are there. The holes are precisely where the bolts fit in AFTER you remove the nut and washer. THE BOLT IS NOT LONG ENOUGH to clear the installation panel. I removed the guard and will reconnect it after I get a long enough bolt to clear the fan housing and the installation panel. ( I did later have to remove ALL the screws that held that back panel in as I am right handed and the removal fan needed to be on the left hand side to pull the dust from my work out). What appears to be a very light weight inside light is EXTREMELY BRIGHT! Someone knew we needed a good light to sweat the small stuff. BTW - the panels are VERY light which makes this box easy to move around. ALSO ARRIVED much quicker than was stated and this moved up my work schedule as today is 06/29 and anticipated arrival was mid-July. I highly recommend this to any hobbyist looking to do some carving in a comfortable setting of their own indoor work shop. * * * UPDATE * * * REMEMBER to keep in mind whether you are right or left handed. This determines where you hold your object as you work on it. AND it should be directly in front of the fan. Right handed - fan on the left side. ALSO REMEMBER to get that extra long bolt at the hardware store as you don't want to damage your fan without the guard to protect it. I also had to seal the back of the dust catcher with extra wide painter's tape to capture escaping dust. PAINTERS TAPE - TAPE IT. JUST DO THAT. I also sealed the areas where the top panel DOES NOT meet the bottom panel. PAINTERS TAPE creates a light seal that meets the top lid on all FOUR SIDES. PAINTERS TAPE - TAPE IT. JUST DO THAT unless you want to take an extra step and get a rubber sealer. From time to time that dremel sanding tool may come up too high and scrape your acrylic lid SO WATCH THAT SANDER.
