In addition, it is a nice weight "for me" and the surface is large/adequate. Some of the paddles I've tried have an elongated shape which reduces the area in which you can hit the ball. Not this paddle. I don't think this paddle automatically made me a better player as that has to do with the player. But it certainly will help me in attaining that goal. Price is a comfort zone that is different for everybody. The price of this paddle was OK for me.
