## Description

POR-15 High Temp heat resistant paint is designed for use on metal surfaces subject to elevated temperatures. The coating is designed to protect steel that is exposed to heat ranges up to 1200°F. This coating system provides excellent weathering. Resists mild industrial fumes and properly cured films will resist thermal shock.

Glossy surfaces should be roughened with 320 grit sandpaper before recoating. Allow POR-15 High Temp Coating to cure for 24 hours on the surface before temperature is raised above 300°F for full cure.

A: I would say yes as I use it on exhaust manifolds and it holds up well.

**Q: Wii it stick to stoneWalled this work on a couple of stones behind a fireplace?**
A: This product is designed for an automotive application. I don't think that it will work on a fireplace.

**Q: Can I use an exhaust manifold without having to use a high temperature primer?**
A: Yes, I did and it looks as good 6 months later as when I brushed it on.  Prep the manifold with an abrasive 3M pad or similar product before coating.

**Q: Should I use metal prep on exhaust pipes before painting with high temp paint**
A: This is what my husband said: yes. Or, he can sand the rust away, but the surface should always be paint-ready.
