If you need to do a double splice because your wire ends don't meet, the heat shrink tubes will shrink and seal over a previous tube that has already been sealed. Very effective, easy to use product. For solid couch or wire soldering is more desirable. I could only recommend using this kit with stranded conductors secured by using a proper crimp tool. **Q: Can this safely be used for a pool light?** A: I used it for a 120 volt moter and 12 volt light splices on a fountain pump where the splices are always submerged in a lake and have had no problems. **Q: Can this be used to repair a buried 120v line (12 or 14 ga)? A trencher cut the line to my gate.** A: Yes it is great for any buried line and it is water proof **Q: Has anyone used a hair dryer to shrink these tubes?
