## Description

Remarkable culinary inspiration flows through the veins of the Destrooper family. It is the 2nd generation that is at the origin of this light and airy butter wafer, with a slight touch of vanilla, which gives it this beautiful golden color. West Flanders, second half of the 19th century: colonial merchant Jules Destrooper works the dough for cookies in his spare time. Eager to create a new cookie with a tasty and different taste, he mixes the spices he imports from America and Asia. Thus were born his first cookies: almond bread, then butter pancakes which will be awarded several national and international prizes. Today, Jules Destrooper's cookies are still made according to the same original and original recipe. Just like in 1886, they contain no preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. These pure butter cookies are simply made from fresh eggs, flour and refined sugars.

Be aware that these cookies are different from the Butter Crisps of this manufacturer. They are also different from all other butter waffle cookies insofar as they are not nearly as hard. Also. I consider their flavor to be outstanding and, but far, the best of all that I have tried. That is why, in spite of the price, I continue purchasing them. If the were less expensive, I would purchase them more often.
