Normally, this type of tool would be held with a collet (but the collet needs to be 25 mm / 0.98 in for this tool. - others can be 1 in or 3/4 in and if you don't use the right size it will probably slip). **Q: Is it possible to use this in a small lathe if i have a milling attachment on my cross slide?** A: I haven't seen a milling attachment on the cross slide. My lathe / mill has a separate, rotating tool holder above the cross slide which can hold a milling tool while the cross slide moves the work piece horizontally back and forth and sideways under the rotating tool.
