Recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent size, quality, sturdiness! *by W***Y on Reviewed in the United States on 17 July 2023* After an exhaustive search, I chose this shoe rack based on size, quality and customer reviews. I was pleasantly pleased when all of the research and advice panned out and I received this product. It is solid! It came packaged well, but not with excessive earth-hurting materials. The wood is solid and stained and polished very nicely (more of a wood feel than the too-shiny feel). I don't think the word "rustic" in the product description is accurate, it's more refined. We followed the advice from another reviewer who said to slide on the split washer and then the whole washer onto each bolt before pushing the bolt through the holes. (This step isn't shown in the directions). We forgot to follow the advice to NOT tighten the first shelf all the way tight until adding the second shelf, which made getting the second shelf on a little trickier. I used my phone flashlight to see where the holes were to line up the bolts with. Ha. Two people made it easy to hold up the sides to assemble the shelves, but one person could do this if necessary. I REALLY like that you don't see the bolts on the outside of the piece! It looks like furniture! And we have all taken turns sitting on it, and it feels like a sturdy bench. Right now it is housing some women's size 7s and men's size 12s and six pair fit nicely, including one pair large garden clogs. My only wish is that there were more stain/color options, however if you are handy, you could get the natural colored one and stain it the way you like. The one I bought is dark brown with an ever so slight reddish undertone, which looks a little darker than the one pictured on Amazon. Mine is the 31" width, but it comes in smaller and larger widths as well.
