I can’t print on it with my injet because it smears badly. But using a laser jet printer, it does a fine job. Since it’s surface is semi glossy and not absorbent, you could draw on it with a pencil. However, using paint or felt tips will be difficult since they will tend to smear much like with the ink jet printer. **Q: Can this paper run through a copy machine?** A: I’m a copier repair technician, you might try running your paper thru the bypass instead of the paper tray, be sure to set the correct paper type for your bypass settings and your print driver settings. This may help. Either way, if the paper sticks together adjust the paper “type” so the copier will compensate for the temperature if the fuser. **Q: Would this vellum be thick enough to fold and use as an envelope?** A: This vellum is translucent and has a waxy feel, which makes it feel heavier than other vellums.It might work for you. You can use markers and technical drafting pens on it ,without bleed or feathering. However I do not recommend it if you are going to be using it on any kind of light table. It draws up from the heat. **Q: Is this vellum suitable as foundation paper for paper piecing quilting? Does it pull away easily from stitching?** A: If you use a smaller stitch length, 2.0 works, 1.5 works better. Crease it by running scissors handle or a spoon over the fold and it will tear very easily and cleanly along your stitched line. I have already put more than 50 through my printer and there has not been a single smudge, smear or bleed. For the $, you can't go wrong on this one. They melted in my laminator so please don't make that mistake. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked out beautifully for my save the dates *by M***E on December 5, 2023* I purchased a customizable template off of Etsy and printed it onto this vellum paper for my save the dates. It turned out beautifully and we got so many compliments! I trimmed the vellum using a paper cutter from Hobby lobby and secured it to a 4 x 6 photo using brass fasteners from Walmart. I was able to fit 2 save the dates on one printed sheet. Pros: the black color of the font appeared nicely on the paper and it was sheer enough to still see the photo underneath. It was easy to trim with a sharp paper cutter. Cons: the ink does take a moment to dry unlike regular printer paper. If you touch it too soon, it will smudge. I recommend taking each sheet off of the printer immediately and setting it on a flat surface to dry for at least five minutes before handling. To make this more manageable I only printed five sheets at one time. If you attempt to cut this paper with a dull paper cutter, the edges will crumple and tear. Would I recommend to a friend?: Most definitely!
