The headphone, however, has its own dedicated USB Nano receiver, plus you can connect the headphones via Bluetooth to any Bluetooth enabled devices. **Q: does it work when plugged in?** A: ......And here I thought I had just gotten a bad couple of units. I have fought with this charging issue on both the pairs of H800s I have owned. After a while, or right when I got my second pair, the light showing charging would not light up unless I had the cord coming out held by something in JUST the right position, or nothing. I love these headsets, I don't know why Logitech had not addressed this and installed a better charging port. I think I may try hooking up the 2 wires needed for charging through a round plug next. This is after the warranty period, of course. **Q: Do I need to have the nano receiver plugged into the computer at all times? Or will the computer discover the headset when it is connected w/ the wire** A: The wire is only for charging. You CAN use the headset while charging. You must use either the Bluetooth or the nano receiver to use the headset. Once it's set up with your computer, it generally pairs very quickly on its own when you turn on the headset. I would not leave the receiver in a laptop at all times - I did and when I dropped the laptop the thing was destroyed (laptop was fine). You can get another, but I could never get the new nano device to synch with the headphones.
