A: Not sure on the turtle, but on the Koi fish a fan lifts up it’s tight. Maybe on the turtle a leg moves or maybe the shell moves. Clever but they make her should put instructions in the box

A: you can UNLOCK by using key

A: I figured the turtle out. Turn the key to the right until it won’t turn no more. Hold it there and move the head to the left and pull up the lock mechanism. The first time is hard but will open.

This lock met all my expectations and more. It is quite heavy for the size and very detailed. The key design is very ornate and appealing.

This is not the same size as a regular padlock. I made that assumption and its too big to use the way we wanted. I'm a 6'0 tall man and its about the size of my hand, if that helps you gauge the size. I still gave 5 stars because its my fault for not looking at the dimensions. Its also very freaking awesome, so we'll find something else to do with it.
