Awesome book
This book is so good, with a lot of interesting facts in it, laid out in easily digestible stories. My 9 year old loves it and we read one chapter each day before he goes to bed.

Fantastically detailed, richly drawn illustration, accurate, accessible and fun
Found out about this book from the authors YT channel (Stefan Milo). This is not a dry read… some of it is laugh out loud funny whilst maintaining respect for the subject. Written primarily as a child’s book but I bought this for myself, thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m close to 60. I will share though with my 4 and 13 yr old nieces 😉. Highly recommended.

Engrossing
There is something so accessible and absorbing about this book and I think it’s because it’s written so logically and in a way which directly addresses the reader. This book puts the ‘story’ into History, and is so easily digested. There are less diagrams than in typical history books and I think this is what makes this book so appealing to our family- it’s not busy or jumpy and everything is presented in a really reader friendly format. We particularly loved learning about Lucy and the Tomb Of The Griffin Warrior! This is by far my favourite history book we now own. The ‘story’ nature of each double spread makes this a lovely book to share and it really ignites and inspires children to actually learn about history in a fun and intriguing way.

Enjoyed by 11 yr old budding archaeologist
Really like the way this book is set out and the variety of context. Well worth a read if you are a young or beginning archaeologist

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
Hi Stefan, I don’t usually comment on things but thought your book deserved it.I bought this book because I know my 8 year old daughter is into scientific related topics. We finished the book last night after bed-time reading a few chapters every other night. I’ve got to say it’s been enthralling for both of us and very funny at times (obviously Viking poo is hilarious to an 8 year old and a very immature 40 year old). I just wanted to say thanks for writing it as not only have we learned but you’ve gave myself and my daughter some very special memories. As a side note the illustrations are beautiful and very original. My daughter already wants to start it again and I’ve got a 6 year old son which I’ll start it with when he’s ready so it’s definitely worth the money I paid (and more). Thanks (again) so much for creating it.I’d give this 10 stars if I could.

Amazing stories based in real discoveries and science
Hard to describe how get this book is. My 6byear old absolutely loves the stories, but they are also so well chosen and you probably get a better grounding in the most important archaeological discoveries than most first year undergraduates.
