In terms of care, it's been cold-water washes only, in lingerie bags, and hang to dry, which should maximize their useful life. My guess is the longer you go between washes, the more likely oils from your skin will start wearing down the fibers and decreasing elasticity, so I'd recommend buying multiple pairs and alternating...but this isn't a hypothesis I've tested. **Q: Would these help with many spider veins in the thigh area?** A: I don't know if these would help with your spider veins as I use them for leg and ankle swelling which is very helpful. I know they cover about 3/4's of the thigh. I can tell you that they are difficult to get on until you get the technique down and still takes a bit of time. For me they are well worth the effort.
