Wearing them everyday?** A: My experience: After what is probably equivalent to 5-6 months of daily wear (I have multiple pairs and alternate), I've noticed some decrease of elasticity. It's happened slowly, but it's now to the point that they often sink down to my knees within an hour or two. Still provide some useful compression, but not like when they were new. In terms of care, it's been cold-water washes only, in lingerie bags, and hang to dry, which should maximize their useful life. My guess is the longer you go between washes, the more likely oils from your skin will start wearing down the fibers and decreasing elasticity, so I'd recommend buying multiple pairs and alternating...but this isn't a hypothesis I've tested. **Q: Would these help with many spider veins in the thigh area?** A: I don't know if these would help with your spider veins as I use them for leg and ankle swelling which is very helpful. I know they cover about 3/4's of the thigh. I can tell you that they are difficult to get on until you get the technique down and still takes a bit of time. For me they are well worth the effort. I tried the up to the waist type in the past, and the constantlt rolled down as soon as I moved. These are working great so far: - relaively easy to put on - no reaction to the no-slip silicone - true to size measurement chart - tight enough for compression without being so tight that they are annoying - no rolling down and very little slipping/sliding down - quality is as good as others I have used in the past. I am just being careful not to snag the material on toe or fingernails - open toe does not make my feet hot and sweaty I will update this review if anything changes over the next few weeks.
