My son is a type diabetic playing high school football. He really likes these as a treat after a meal when he has access to insulin. When he doesn't, he has the AdvantEdge Carb Control, double chocolate crisp. It has about half the protein but only 4 net carbs. **Q: what is the shelf life** A: The expiration date was about 8 months from when I bought them. **Q: Does this product still contain the whey-casein protein blend (Myoplex) or has Abbott substituted it with soy based protein?** A: I see both soy protein and whey protein on the label. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These things are great *by H***Z on October 22, 2013* Love the taste, and they are very filling.I have been using these in conjunction with ON Whey protein. I have a very consistent weight. I am using these in a 2000 calorie diet, and actually look forward to eating them, I have also tried the caramel flavor, but prefer the peanut butter.30 grams of protein is pretty awesome, note that there are 10 grams of fat, which could be considered high. As with anything, this isn't a magic potion, but used with a well planned diet is a great supplement.for note, I just cut 35lbs, and am actually 7lbs under my target weight, which is fine with me. ### ⭐ Deceptive Product title *by D***H on February 8, 2013* The title and pricing, specifically the "$0.43/per bar" suggested I would receive 36 bars. I recieved 6. I can't say I didn't expect this but I was hoping for otherwise.
