My particular favorite is Complex Variables. Prentice Hall: Applied Differential Equations (1963,1967,1980) Review: A nice handbook/quick reference - I give it five stars just because it's such a convenient little book — need a quick review of basic calc? First chapter! And there's a grab-bag of a ton of stuff elsewhere. I haven't checked if many of the solutions are correct, but that's part of the fun, IMHO. It's a very handy little précis of topics, tending to the applied physics side of things (most of the content isn't relevant to my work in computer science, but it's still good applied maths, and it never hurts to review. better than playing a video game or doing a sudoku puzzle or something). One caveat: make sure if you get a used edition it's not like the one I got, printed in 1971: the content is still fine, but it looks like a book I might have found under a pool table in my Grandpa's basement.
