It blew the triac and completely disabled the microwave. I already had a soldering iron, solder and solder removing copper braid and some skills in electronics (although anyone could likely do this) YouTube has a few great videos on how to remove and replace these triacs. The whole process only took about 25 minutes. I highly recommend taking photos of the wiring before unplugging it all to remove the control board so you can easily reconnect them.
