Tracker may report an incorrect battery level Ignore it. *by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2018* I own and utilize several trackers for my business. So far I have purchased 5 batteries from Talon GPS and every single one of them has worked flawlessly and as advertised. Battery life is going to be dependant upon the settings of your tracker so if your tracker is set to ping every 10 seconds your battery life will be much much less than a 1 minute ping setting. On a vehicle driven an average of an hour a day with a one minute setting you should easily get 90 days plus out of this battery.Second thing is that I have seen several reviews where people complain about battery life. The GL trackers are not designed to report the battery life of external batteries accurately. This is particularly true of the 3G and new 4G models. After consulting with the GPS technicians at my tracking provider after seeing the battery levels bouncing around I was made aware that this is a firmware issue on the trackers and not a battery issue. Unfortunately I was told that no firmware fix from the manufacturer is planned. Just leave the battery connected to the tracker, if it reports a location then it is on even if the tracker is reporting that the battery at zero.Lastly be aware of where you are placing the device. A lot of vehicles are currently being made out of aluminum alloys. Magnets do not stick to aluminum so you will need to find a true metal surface for a solid mount. If you can pull the case off easily after mounted then you better find a new location or prepare to lose your tracker on the first pothole or speed bump. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 star product *by A***W on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2019* Very powerful magnet. I was a bit worried how big the box would be but was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t as massive as i thought it may be and fit in the original spot.I think the 6 month battery extension is a bit generous though. Though it is very nice not having to worry about charging every two weeks i suspect it will not last the full 6 months.Very durable and easy to use and charge. Gave it a 5 cuz it serves its purpose well. Will update how long the first charge actually lasts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ GL300W Tracker will not fit *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2017* This is a good sturdy product, but I purchased it hoping the the GL300W GPS track would fit into the box. I will not fit with the battery in the box so I had to by another enclosure device that would fit the battery and the GL300W tracker.
