Fits great on a 9 inch plate, keeps food from going over the edge

This was fine for a smaller plate; it broke when I tried to put it on a 12 inch plate.

I purchased this for my Dad who has Parkinson's. Mom really liked that it was easily portable for eating with family at their house, or to a restaurant. Dad said it made it easier for him to get the food on the utensil. MUCH less food ended up falling on the table or onto Dad's lap. It is sturdy, easy to use and easy to clean. It will not fit on a very large dinner plate but that hasn't been an issue.

Use these every meal in healthcare. These are as nice and non-invasive as you can get with a plate guard or plate rim. This is the best price I can find for these and even though I still think they are overpriced for a bent piece of plexiglass with a groove cut in it, I still think its a good product and very functional.

It does not fit every plate. The plate I'm using this on has a decorative edge not a fully rounded edge. There is a very small curved sections of the plate and it's very hard to fit the guard on it. Last night as I was making my patient dinner, the guard just randomly flipped off and food went flying everywhere. Thankfully I had not put the plate in front of her. I am leary that it will break. It's very strong and I have to pull to fit it on the plate. Added: January 29, this lasted less then 4 months. I will add the size of the plate is 9 1/2". About a 7 items the guard flipped off throwing food everywhere. Waste of money.

Unfortunately this item broke in two when I was adding it to my husbands plate. I use smaller plates for him as I had some of these ordered by his OT about 2 years ago. One of those broke which is why I ordered this item. Too bad, I like using these so he can eat off of real plates.

Must have for someone who has limited use of hands while eating. The rim holds the food to help them scoop it with their fork or spoon. Easy to apply and clean. Quality material.

Was smaller than I expected. So I use a small plate for my wife. She has Parkinson's disease. It does help her to pick up food and not have to clean up the table.
