I bought this for doing u bolts on semi’s because my older IR composite is getting tired. I was trying to get the older model in a TI but they don’t make anymore. Everything is switching to quiet model. This is my 3rd IR composite 3/4, it’s the worst. I just bought a 1/2” IR 2235 TI. Had them both on a yoke puller the 3/4 stopped. The 1/2” turned it. Unreal, I wish I could return. Still on the market for something tough. I would assume it's USA made just like all of the IR guns, but in the same aspect even it wasn't, that wouldn't stop me from using this. The advertised torque numbers are way closer than any HF or other off brand variants. I use it very often at my heavy diesel equipment job. I have tried most of the others out there. Matco has nothing on this IR gun. Mac or Cornwell either.
