Just turn the brightness up a little on the screen and all is well. I would recommend a matt protector if you use your deck outside alot or in bright indoor environments. Its well worth it for me. Gives us an anti glare screen but at what cost? Before I con this product I would say the installation and product presentation is great. Feels like you are opening up a premium product and the quality of the protector itself is great. Playing in a very bright room causes literally no screen glare. However the negative is that because of the way this works the actual image that you are seeing through this protector is degraded versus a conventional glass screen protector. In my case with playing Aliens Fireteam Elite, I can't really say it's negatively impacted my experience that much for a feature that is missing on the 64Gb and 250Gb Steam Deck models but the image is ever so slightly hazy using this product. If it didn't ever so slightly degrade image quality then I would of given this product a perfect score.
