Manufactured under strict GMP A-rated standards, this vegan, allergen-free powder is designed for active adults seeking clean, effective recovery and overall wellness. ## Description NOW® L-Glutamine Powder is a pure, free-form, non-essential, amino acid and is the highest grade available. Glutamine is considered to be a conditionally essential amino acid, which means that under certain circumstances, the body may require more glutamine than it can produce. In the body, glutamine functions as a major nitrogen transporter and is critical for the maintenance of healthy nitrogen balance.* Glutamine also acts as the primary fuel for the rapidly growing cells of the immune system and GI tract.* Natural color variation may occur in this product. Take 1 rounded teaspoon in juice, preferably between meals, 1 to 2 times daily as needed. Review: Works Great for me, I recommend! - I have IBS and the cramping can get really bad and I never know which meal will set it off. This supplement really helps me with my stomach issues. I will usually just add the recommended amount in some juice or water before bed and drink. It has absolutely NO bad taste or smell, so there's no bad or after taste. I most definitely recommend! Review: Great for chemo neuropathy. - This is great stuff! If you’re taking chemo treatments, this can help prevent neuropathy. I highly recommend it. I use it in a higher dose (10mg) 3x a day, the day before treatment & 5 days after. No side effects. I use it in my coffee, because it melts better & has no taste. ## Features - NOW Sports products are comprehensively tested so you can trust that our products are pure and effective for every level of athletics. - NITROGEN TRANSPORTER*: Pure Glutamine Powder helps to maintain a positive nitrogen balance crucial for any active individual*, aids in the production of rapidly growing cells to offset some of the stress from physical exertion*, and helps to regulate the body pH to support homeostasis, which is critical for overall fitness.* - IMMUNE SUPPORT*: Great for pre- and post-workout! - GMP Quality Assured: NPA A-rated GMP certification means that every aspect of the NOW manufacturing process has been examined, including our laboratory/testing methods (for stability, potency, and product formulation). - Packaged in the USA by a family owned and operated company since 1968. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0013OSNEM | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Allergen Information | Dairy Free, Egg Free, Non-GMO, Nut Free, Soy Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #83,404 in Health ( See Top 100 in Health ) #1,298 in Amino Acid Nutritional Supplements | | Brand | NOW | | Brand Name | NOW | | Color | White | | Container Type | Bottle | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 463 Reviews | | Diet Type | Vegan | | Dosage Form | Powder | | Flavor | Unflavored | | Flavour | Unflavored | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00733739002204 | | Item Dimensions | 6.9 x 6.9 x 12.1 centimeters | | Item Form | Powder | | Item Weight | 0.5 Pounds | | Item form | Powder | | Item weight | 0.5 Pounds | | Manufacturer | NOW Sports - Nutrition and Wellness | | Manufacturer Part Number | 0220 | | Material Features | Vegan | | Model Name | Now Sports Nutrition | | Model Number | 0220 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Primary Supplement Type | multivitamin | | Primary supplement type | multivitamin | | Product Benefits | Immune Support | | Recommended Uses For Product | Amino Acid | | Special Ingredients | Amino Acid | | Specific Uses For Product | Amino Acid | | Total Servings Per Container | 34 | | UPC | 733739002204 | | Unit Count | 6 Grams | | Unit count | 6 Grams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** NOW - **Diet type:** Vegan - **Flavour:** Unflavored - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 6.9 x 6.9 x 12.1 centimeters - **Item form:** Powder - **Item weight:** 227 g - **Primary supplement type:** multivitamin - **Product benefits:** Immune Support - **Special ingredients:** Amino Acid - **Unit count:** 6 Grams ## Images ![NOW Sports Nutrition, L-Glutamine Pure Powder, Nitrogen Transporter*, Amino Acid, 6-Ounce - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/719S3piZ0AL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great for me, I recommend! *by N***N on 23 September 2026* I have IBS and the cramping can get really bad and I never know which meal will set it off.
