It’s fabulous my cats. Love it. **Q: Is this light grey or dark grey? It looks different in every pic.** A: Dark grey **Q: Is the wire galvanized so that it won't rust?** A: I haven’t had problems with rust; however, I’ve noticed the roof is not leakproof. I’m going to have to put a new roof on to prevent damage to the interior wood. **Q: What kind of wood and how much does the catio weigh?** A: It’s pretty lightweight. I can move it myself and I am a small woman. I had to have it fastened to my shed so it wouldn’t move. I think the weight is in the description details ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cat Freedom *by on Reviewed in the United States June 6, 2026* It’s just what we wanted. The cats get to be outside and we don’t get complaints form condo management. Assembly wasn’t horrible, I got it done in a long afternoon. As a warning it comes in two boxes that came separate days. Also, like most DIYs, the pieces are lettered, in this case a lot of the lettering was hard to see but it was there. The structure is very secure and stable, I would definitely recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communicative sellers, quick shipping, not the most stable but holds 25+ pound cats *by on Reviewed in the United States July 29, 2023* We have 5 cats and were looking for something like a “crate” to hold them in on occasion and just to have for them to play in. We are using it inside only. I do agree with other sellers that I don’t think this would hold up for maybe 2-3 years outside. It does come in two different boxes- I messaged seller and they sent me both tracking numbers. It got here is 2-3 days after ordering. It is not the most sturdy. The pieces are very thin. We cracked one of them with a screw, but it didn’t split completely and we were still able to use it. The roof is heavy enough to ground it for the most part though. We didn’t screw in the roof. It did fine holding a 25+ pound cat, so I’d say it’s okay. It is pretty simple to put together. It has a lot of parts. I do wish it was less expensive. $500 seems a bit pricey for it, but it’s one of the nicer ones on Amazon and the price is comparable. We’ve only had it for an afternoon, so I’ll update if anything happens. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Catio *by on Reviewed in the United States June 17, 2023* Easy to put together, great step by step directions. I started to put it together by myself with a drill. I got the 3 sides together and up. I ended up needing help because I needed extra hands putting the benches together. I think it took a total of 4 or 5 hours to complete the project. The screen is metal and hung on the inside of the catio. Which is great so the cats can't push it out wards. It's nice that I get to decide where to put the cats entrance. And the double doors can be screwed together, which is what I did. I put a clasp on it so I can put a lock on it. Just so no one can open it by accident. I didn't put the boxes on them because my cats really like laying in the sun. I used one of the boxes as part of the entrance into my house. Everything is screwed to my patio floor. It makes it very sturdy. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gutinneen Catio Large Cat House Outdoor Walk in Outdoor Cat Enclosure Indoor Cage Kitty Condo Playpen with Door, Platform & Small House - 71" - Cat Hammock for Cage Hanging Reversible 2Pack,Pet Hammock Bed Adjustable,Soft Sleeping Hammock for Cats,Ferret,Puppy,Rabbits,Small Animals (M, CAT) - 2 Pieces Reversible Cat Hanging Hammock Soft Breathable Pet Cage Hammock with Adjustable Straps and Metal Hooks Double-Sided Hanging Bed for Cats Small Dogs Rabbits, Medium --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/440300084-catio-large-cat-house-outdoor-walk-in-outdoor-cat-enclosure](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/440300084-catio-large-cat-house-outdoor-walk-in-outdoor-cat-enclosure) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
