My intent was to do this with the heads still on, but didn’t go that way. Which is no fault of the tool. It just requires too much force to compress and hold a valve spring in a confined area all while standing on your head trying not to loose the keepers. Subsequently, the heads came off and the tool was still used to do the job. It was even used over the archaic valve spring tool available on loan at your local auto parts store. I tried that one for about an hour, which ended up going back in the box all while cussing and swearing. You will need to find away to keep the head from moving & the valve from dropping while compressing the spring if the head is off, but it can be done! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by A***6 on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2018* This works because nothing else will.
