Review: Best polish ever - Love this polish i have been using for years its long lasting Review: Great shine, really lasts and keeps floors CLEAN and looking NEW! - I bought this for my 1 year old OFF-WHITE no-wax floor, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. I have a woodstove, and a very thin layer of ash would get into the pores, especially in high-traffic areas. This would require my need to damp-mop the floor daily and washing every 10 days with a steam cleaner, needless to say, exhausting. Before applying the wax, I deep cleaned the floor with a soft brush and a 1:1 mixture of ammonia and water to remove and deep ground in dirt, and then went over the entire floor with a steam cleaner. I then applied 2 coats of wax as per directions. The floor looked better than when it was new, and all the little pores were nicely sealed under the shine! This allowed me to only have to vaccuum daily-the thin ash layer stayed out of the floors ,and they stayed looking clean as if I had just washed them for 3 weeks, only needing to spot clean if something spilled. So now I steam clean every three weeks or so, and reapply the wax as needed. In 2 months, I have reapplied the wax only once, and only a thin coat was needed-maybe a little more in the high traffic areas. It does not appear to have builup as some other products do, but time will tell. It does dissolve fairly easily with ammonia and a soft brush. Yiu could try a small patch on your wood floor. I havent tried it **Q: can I use on tile** A: Of course you can, but it is not a good idea on certain types of tile, you didn't say what kind of tile you are talking about. There are many different kinds of tile, porous wall tiles like terracotta, for instance, that absorb water would likely darken, some would say this permanently damages them. I would not use this product on anything other than what it is designed to be used for, which is a no-wax floor. There are many sealers that give a 'wet look' to tile floors that last for many many years, decades even. This product works on no-wax floors but like the no-wax floor itself, eventually the shine starts to dull or fade and you need a new application. This product on a no-wax floor is time and money well spent. I have a no-wax floor that is 35 years old and this product makes it look almost brand new. **Q: How will this work on broken tile floor?** A: I never used it on any broken tiles, but I can't imagine that it would harm anything, since it is clear. In any event, it provides a clean "shine". **Q: is it good to buff linoleum floor after floorshine dries** A: No, you do not want to buff this product. The product is a coating not a wax. If you want to buff your floors there are products you can put down that require buffing to make them shine, this product does not.
