I love this product and definitely recommend it for my use case, but I'll highlight the drawbacks just to give a more complete picture. Firstly, fog juice is basically unflavored vape juice. This will affect people with respiratory issues. The access to the ice chamber is kind of a pain because you have to screw the handle for quite a while. Of course, it requires semi-frequent attention for fresh ice and fog juice as previously mentioned. The controller is unintuitive in terms of user feedback, but works fine once you dial it in. I can't wholly weigh in on the drain because I just let it run off onto the ground, but the included water bag seemed pretty small. Emptying the fog juice reservoir is not at all convenient if you want to run a cleaning solution through the fogger. Also, I did try to use this machine indoors once and it put off way too much fog on the lowest setting, so beware of that too. Still, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. UPDATE (2025): After 4 seasons of use, the pump died, which is a bit disappointing for a machine at this price point. I'm a little handy and it was relatively easy to replace myself. I also took the opportunity to put in a longer hose, so now I can run it directly into the gallon container of juice instead of the small reservoir it comes with. I also decided to try using dry ice this year. I was only able to get blocks and it ran through less than two 10lb blocks over the trick-or-treat window. I broke the blocks up into chunks using a hammer. The low fog effect was much better with the dry ice, but eventually water-based ice condensed inside the machine from the fog itself and clogged the usual airflow path. I was able to keep the fog flowing by propping up the lid and allowing it to escape that way. There isn't one. My one year warranty was still good and ADJ refused my return/refund. Machine did not work as advertised. **Q: Does this machine set of fire alarms???** A: Yes it does. It uses fog juice to make the fog. The fog juice is corn oil burned in a heating coil to make smoke. The only machine that won’t set off alarms uses co2 or dry ice to make natural cool fog. **Q: how long will a full tray of regular ice / dry ice last?** A: I recommend dry ice, I used it and it worked really well to keep the fog low. Also because the dry ice sublimates there isn't any residue / water to dump vs. using normal wet ice that converts to a liquid. **Q: Does the fog eventually rise enough to showcase dance floor lighting (Such as Moving heads or lasers) ?** A: I used it last weekend exactly for that, and 6 Martin 180watt led and a 1watt RGB Laser looked AWESOME. I was very excited to try this out, but because it was very windy outside, I decided to try this indoors on my pergo flooring. After about 10 mins of low lying fog, I ended up setting off my ADT fire alarm system, (after my son played in it and made the fog go all over the place (note, do not use indoors for this reason). Besides this, I went to take this outdoors & all the ice that melted inside the machine had leaked all over my floor, ALL OVER!!!. I was hoping I had installed the bag wrong, but I didn't. I read the instructions 1st before using. The bag apparently was not sealed properly, but also all the water was leaking from the very bottom of this machine. I'm a bit upset as I was going make this an addition for my photography business, but now I need to return this plus getting charged by the UPS STORE just to send this back. I would like to reach out to this company personally to see what my best options are, but wasn't able to find how to contact them, at least not yet. Maybe this one machine was a dud, but for the price, it should work properly. I have read from a few other reviews that this leaked for other people that have purchased this item, but hoped that wouldn't be the case for me. Other than the leaking of water, this machine can spit out fog & it does the job well, but only if it didn't leak.
