Review: Driver Install solution / Vive SteamVR Tracker solution - To get this device working for windows 11. I installed it as recommended with the power off the pc, install into PCIe slot, restart PC. After that it wasn't recognizing and the device manager "Scan for hardware changes" didn't work for me. To get the driver I installed ASMedia-USB-eXtensible-Host-Controller-Driver_3HGPG_WIN_1.16.33.1_A01_03.EXE driver from Dell. Installed that locally using the regular path of installation. Then I went back to device manager and pulled up the device under Universal Serial Bus controllers -> ASMedia USB3.1 eXtensible Host Controller (ASM1143) -> Right click -> Update driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer -> Uncheck "Show compatible hardware", scroll up to ASMedia TEchnology Inc -> On the right side I selected the ASMedia USB3.1 eXtensible Host Controller (ASM1143) -> next -> Yes to the warning prompt. This got it working for me. As a note it will fail to update if you've plugged any USB into it. So while you are doing the driver change just keep every USB unplugged from this card. Worked really well for SteamVR and HTC Vive trackers to split them out for vrchat style games

**Q: Why are the usb a ports blue instead of red?  if they are really gen 2 then they should be red.  has any one done a disk speed test?**

About the disk speed of the card, One USB Type-C port and three USB Type-A ports share 10Gbps bandwidth together, and the rest three ports share another 10Gbps bandwidth, with total bandwidth up to 20Gbps. **Q: Does this product allow monitor hook/display via usb-c?**
A: This pcie usb 3.2 Gen 2 expansion card type c ports only supports data transmission, PD and ALT DP video transmission is not supported. But some customer feedback: With an adaptor, you can do almost anything. I own one that permits charging of my phone, HDMI video, Multi USB connectors, Keyboard input, and DVD. **Q: I am using Windows 11 & this card is only powering my devices it is not connecting them to the computer. Anyone know what's wrong?**
A: New Dell XPS 8950 Desktop 12th Gen Intel i7 12700, DDR5, Windows 11. Install was easy in the motherboard PCIe x4, checked Windows Update, Device Manager had no flags, BIOS updated prior. However, the 3.0 USB Sandisk and 3.0 4TB WD Elements devices "did not show" in File Explorer. I found the ASMedia USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller – 1.10(Microsoft) under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in Device Manager and the light was on for the WD 4TB Elements - so it connected. Come to find out Windows 11 did not recognize the attached devices until I went back to Device Manager and on the “second” line under File Action View Help are six icons – the “blue screen icon” on the far right is – “Scan For Hardware Changes” -- I clicked on that icon and all three plugged in devices started coming up in File Explorer and worked fine.

To get this device working for windows 11. I installed it as recommended with the power off the pc, install into PCIe slot, restart PC. ### ⭐ Card DOA?

I carefully plugged this card into my powered-down PC (based on ASUS x299 Deluxe Motherboard, with fully-updated BIOS and Windows 10, no over-clocking). The card was seated perfectly. Upon powering up, the computer hung during the BIOS load. I powered down and restarted multiple times with slightly different error messages on some cycles (WHEA, Boot Error, etc.). The computer never made it to Windows 10, and unfortunately, I was never able to actually enter the BIOS edit screen either. I removed the card and the computer booted fine, so I tried other PCIe slots, with the same failed result. I contacted the seller and was promptly sent a replacement card. When I plugged the new card in, the exact same problem as explained above presented itself again. The motherboard Q-code always ends up as "d4", which broadly indicates a problem with available the PCI resources. I don't know what the problem is, but there are 3 possibilities: 1. Both cards I received from the seller were hardware-defective in the same way. That seems unlikely. 2. There is something else wrong with my computer motherboard that prevents these cards from working with it. I can only say that I have two another PCIe cards in the same machine, and they both work fine, so I find this unlikely as well. 3. There is an outright compatibility issue here. On the surface that would not appear to be the case given the specifications of both my motherboard and the card. However, motherboard designers lay out their PCIe schemes in different ways. My motherboard manual cautions that some slots are shared with other subsystems, which sounds like potential trouble to me. My conclusion is that PCIe is not really a plug'n'play standard across all PC systems. This card MAY work in any given system, or it may not, and no one will ever know why! This is unfortunate. Buyer beware.
