It was pretty easy to install (just be careful not to deform the aluminum if you have to tap it into place), though I had to get different mounting screws--the ones that came with it were too long for the sight. You'll need shorter #6 screws, I think 1/4" long. It has held up well through a few hundred rounds so far. One of these days I'll turn the sight off and try the backup sight feature, but this is definitely easier and faster than getting your slide milled, especially if you're on the fence about the MRDS concept and don't want to permanently modify anything yet.
