Since our home layout is open concept, we wanted to duplicate the living room TV display in the kitchen. (Having the two TVs playing different material was just too annoying.) The existing wire was an old TV cable connection (RG59?) from the stone age. Running an HDMI cable could have been done, but it would have entailed opening walls and crawling around under the floor. Instead, we took a gamble on this extender.I estimate that the length of cable involved was at least 75 feet and included at least two barrel junctions. Since the existing cable was lower quality than recommended, I was concerned that it would not work. No worries, It worked perfectly right from the start, and has worked perfectly ever since. There is no noticeable lag in the audio, so now the viewing experience is seamless between rooms.Note that we do not use the IR function in our application. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Caution when using BNC adapters *by G***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2018* Using 2 pairs in new commercial buildout. We needed to extend HDMI video signal where we only had RG6 coax pulled. Initially everything worked fine, however over time one pair experienced intermittent signal loss. Seller quickly exchanged unit, but the new unit had same result. We did more testing bypassing existing coax, replaced HDMI patch cables, finally replaced TV monitor —still no signal. The last remaining component was the BNC male to F female adapters we were using...we replaced and got a signal. Upon close inspection, one adapters internal contact was too wide to make contact with center conductor of coax.All in all the seller was great, I’ve got to say they advised early on that defective extender units were rare.If your coax situation will require use of a BNC adapter, I would suggest removing and replacing with a BNC compression fitting —eliminating use of any adapters.The HDMI extenders are working great, solid signal.
