It has a much better elasticity than the first roll of leather cord I ordered from desertcart. It can also handle a good bit of weight without stretching out of shape. The golden brown Tiger’s Eye necklace with the rectangle beads is especially heavy. And there has been no unwanted stretching. I am able to string 6mm and some 4mm beads with this cord. Thank you! Review: Excellent quality! - I purchased this is both white and black 1.5mm. The quality is excellent and exceeded my expectations. It is very soft and easy to work with. I use it to make bracelets, so I need to be able to knot and braid it. I have had no trouble with the coat cracking. Also, please keep in mind that the 1.5 diameter is very small so if you pull hard enough, it is going to snap. Normal wear will never pull that hard. I had to really pull hard and even then, it was very difficult to get it to snap. If someone is that hard on their jewelry, they are going to have problems no matter what it is. Also, all of the leather cord I have purchased from this seller has never had anything more than a faint smell of leather, I expect that and even want it. I’m glad I found this and will continue to buy it. Tip: when tying knots, it’s best to work it instead of pulling it. Pulling it will weaken it and can damage the coating.
