The machine isn't quite tall enough to fit a solo cup, but you can lift it slightly to make it fit (about a quarter of an inch). The first couple of batches I used frozen tap water & I wasn’t very concerned about how much pressure I used on the top button or where exactly I was pressing. The ice came out a bit chunky. After looking at the tips, I used water from my Brita to fill the molds, and I applied pressure to the center of the button and played around a bit with how much pressure I used & the ice came out looking and tasting great. No ice chunks and produced 3 servings from one mold.
