A: 1998 Sierra has OBDII and therefore should work.  This system has a brand specific GM section and as far as I can see has GMC covered, too.

I love this item but the only thing I have to say that’s negative is, you have to pay for each individual car make to enable you to diagnose and actuate things and further dive into the car’s modules. For just a obd2 scanner it’s great
