One bottle in each bag???** A: Yes, no problem. However most people buy the Wolfman Holsters for their Fuel Bottles and strap them to the outside of the bags, or to D rings on the rear fender. (part of the E-12 harness) **Q: Has anyone used these with a honda cb5cb500x? and can they really be used without a frame or rack?** A: Yeah they can be used with bikes without frame or rack. I have them for my kawasaki klx450r 2008 and they are great. Can hold enough stuff **Q: How many litres is each bag?** A: I was able to fit a basketball once. I'm sure you can easily fit 2 (32 litre) nalgens containers in each pouch **Q: Are these waterproof?** A: They are not, but they do a pretty good job of keeping everything dry in a rain storm. If you had items that 100% couldn't get wet, you could use a rolie bag on top of the E-12's or you could even use it inside the bags. The Rolie bags are 100% waterproof and are designed to be used in addition to the E-12. I crashed my BMW F800GS in soft sand in the boonies and my MX boot was caught between my passenger peg and the Hardbag with the bike on top of me.I was riding with a group of friends and one of them had these bags. I picked them up for a week of Dual Sport riding in Death Valley and they worked great.They are well built and rugged. The strap system secures them to the bike well. When you are just on a little trip and do not have a lot of gear in the bags, they cinch down well instead of flopping around like other bags.These bags worked so well I went and bought the Wolfman mini tank bag too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works for me *by Y***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2012* Worked just like I had hoped they would. I camp off the back of my 650 dual sport and have a rack to hold a gym bag. Keep my tent, sleeping bag, ect. in this and my sleeping pad on top of that bag. In the E-12 saddle bags I put my sandels and all my cloths for a long weekend and they worked great. Never had any trouble with them comeing loose and I was able to mount them even though I have a rear fender tool bag and a rear rack. Just set the straps so they were just under my rear directionals and fit good. Strong and well thought out product. Tried to save it but just as I was on the cusp of pulling out of a sideways skid my klx250s gained a whole bunch of lateral traction in a pothole and I got high sided off (luckily onto my laundry filled backpack at about 30mph. After the bike slid a good 25ft or so I got up to see if anyone saw. No one... With my ego in check I picked up the bike to inspect the damage. There was a scuff on my hand guard and I had to bend my shift lever which was bent inwards about 1/2". Then I went home and checked out the saddle bags and they somehow looked like nothing ever happened. I think they saved my bike. I also had 2 MSR bottles full of fuel in the wolf man holsters attached to the inner D rings on top of the saddlebags. They were fine too. The bags were cubed out btw. Winter rain/snow pants, a hoodie, socks, snowmobile mitts and jacket. I also have the 2L rear tool bag with spare tube and tools and front fender kit housing soft sided medic kit and 3 tire spoons. Nothing moved.Pros-durable(zippers too), easy solid install, look great, fits what you need if you don't need much.Cons-The nice big heavy zippers have chincey yellow string pulls, a solid ring thru the zipper head would be nice so you could throw a little lock on them.- these bags could be fairly easily "liberated" from your machine by loosening 3 nylon straps. (I mounted my saddle straps under my seat to make that more of a pain in the ass for them.All that being said. If you're on the fence, you can feel comfortable buying these bags.
