I used it to dip out frozen yogurt, and had no issue (obviously not as strong as a metal spoon, but didn't break like a thin plastic spoon). Throughout the time it took to eat a giant bowl of frozen yogurt, I never felt the spoon was compromised in strength. That was the closest I got to using it in a "liquid" meal since I bought these in the middle of summer and soup won't be on the menu anytime soon!There is a wood taste when using the spoon and fork. It wasn't a big deal to me or my family, but definitely something to consider.I've included comparasion pictures next to an Oneida set.Overall, I've really enjoyed using these during various meals when I don't feel like using washable utensils.
